Bathroom Repairs & Refits
From a single cracked tile to a full bathroom suite, our Middlesbrough bathroom specialists keep your home dry, clean and functional. Reliable, tidy, and fairly priced.

Bathroom Repairs You Can Rely On
Bathrooms get harder use than people realise. Steam, splash, condensation and constant temperature swings put a steady strain on every surface, and the small problems mount up: grout going dark in one corner, silicone shrinking back from the bath, a toilet that rocks when you sit on it, a shower screen that no longer closes flush. None of these are emergencies on their own, but together they make a room feel tired and grubby. We exist to put them right.
We tackle bathroom work across Middlesbrough every week. Some are quick visits to refresh the silicone seal around a bath, swap a leaking toilet inlet washer or replace a cracked tile. Others are larger projects: a full bathroom strip-out and refit for a Marton homeowner, a wet-room conversion for a customer with mobility needs in Acklam, or an end-of-tenancy refresh for a landlord with a flat near Roman Road. Whatever the scale, we work tidy, we protect surrounding floors and we do not leave site until the room is ready to use.

Common Bathroom Repairs We Carry Out
The most frequent bathroom call we get is for grout and silicone failure. Tile grout absorbs water over time, particularly in the lower courses around the bath, and once it has gone soft and dark it is no longer doing its job. We rake out the failing grout, treat the substrate, and re-grout with a flexible bathroom-grade product that resists mould far better than standard wall grout. Silicone is similar: a bead that has gone yellow and pulled away from the bath needs cutting out completely, the surface needs cleaning back to bare ceramic and acrylic, and a fresh bead needs running with a finishing tool to get the smooth concave profile that sheds water properly.
- Tile replacement and re-grouting

- Toilet pan replacement and refixing rocking pans
- Shower head, hose and mixer replacement
- Shower enclosure repair and door realignment

- Heated towel rail repair and replacement
- Splashguard installation
- Slipping or rotten floorboards under tiles
Showers, Enclosures and Wet Rooms
Showers are the most fault-prone fitting in a typical bathroom, and rightly so: they get used twice a day, every day, with high-pressure water and dramatic temperature changes. Mixer cartridges fail, thermostatic valves seize, hoses split, shower heads fur up with limescale and shower enclosure doors slip out of true. We carry replacement cartridges for the common Mira, Triton, Bristan and Aqualisa models, and we keep stock of seals and rollers for the most common sliding-door enclosures.
For larger projects, we carry out full shower replacements and wet-room conversions. A wet-room conversion is more involved than people often realise: the floor must be tanked properly with a fully bonded waterproof membrane, the floor structure may need additional support, and the door and screen must be specified to suit the room layout. We have done enough of these to know what works and what looks great in photographs but causes problems six months later.
Toilet Repairs and Replacements
A surprisingly large proportion of our bathroom work involves toilets. Toilets that rock when you sit on them, toilets that run on continuously, toilets where the flush has become weak or unreliable, toilets where the seat has cracked. We replace fill valves, syphons, flush-handles, seats, soil pipe connectors and pan fixings as a matter of routine. For complete pan replacement, we will lift the old unit, dispose of it responsibly, fit and seal the new pan and cistern, and check the connection to the soil stack to ensure there is no risk of leakage or smells.

Why Customers Choose Us
Bathroom work is the kind of job where corner-cutting shows up later, often months later, and almost always at the worst possible moment. We are well aware of this. We use the right products, we follow the right preparation steps, and we do not use sealant to disguise problems that should have been solved properly. The result is bathroom repairs that last, in the homes of customers we are happy to be recommended to.
